Our Story

After experiencing the late-term pregnancy loss of their daughter in March 2022, and the subsequent physical, emotional, and mental aftermath, Amina Cush and Ornan Charles were deeply inspired to create a postnatal retreat rooted in community care and inclusivity.

The vision of Nurture Postnatal Care is the culmination of their personal journey, reflecting a profound understanding of the unique challenges and needs faced by new mothers and families during the postpartum period.

With over 30+ years of combined experience across marketing, tech, and consulting, coupled with the lived experience of loss and pregnancy, the duo are excited to bring an elevated, inclusive postnatal experience to Westchester, NY.

    Amina Cush is a seasoned marketing professional with 15 years of experience in digital marketing, product marketing, and communications. She has made impactful contributions at leading companies such as Oscar Health, Amazon, and Zendesk, leveraging her expertise to drive growth and brand success. Amina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Communications and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of customer first strategies. Beyond her career, Amina is a passionate advocate for equitable and inclusive care for BIPOC women. Her interests in cooking, travel, and dance complement her dedication to raising her beautiful rainbow baby Naima, with her partner Ornan. Amina's commitment to excellence and innovation in marketing is evident in every project she undertakes.

    Ornan Charles is a multifaceted professional with over 17 years of experience in consulting, engineering, and analytics, leaving an indelible mark at McKinsey & Co and Condeco Software. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Ornan's expertise runs deep. Yet, beyond the boardroom, he's a celebrated taekwondo champion, clinching over 28 gold medals in 30+ competitions. His love for martial arts is only rivaled by his passion for aviation, where he's soaring towards his Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating. As a new father to his daughter Naima, Ornan finds boundless joy and purpose, cherishing every moment alongside his partner Amina. His journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence, whether in the boardroom, the dojo, or the skies, and now as a devoted father.
